What to image, month by month
Each month's best-placed deep-sky targets, with the time a solid image needs from a rural, suburban and city sky for every telescope on the site. "Best placed" means the object transits near midnight that month, so it is high for most of the night. Seasonal notes are written for mid-northern latitudes; the transit months hold everywhere.
